COMPETITIONS' HISTORY

European Under 23 Championships was organized by the initiative of Alisher Usmanov, who at that time was the President of EFC. This tournament was made to help young fencers that are out of the juniors but still not in the main team, to adopt to the senior fencing.

The first tournament was held in 2008 in Monza (Italy); the second will take place from 8^th till 10^th May 2009 in Debrecen (Hungary). Competitions' program consists of men's and women's individual tournaments in all types of weapon.
