The second day of European Cadet Championships in Bourges (France) brought gold to the Estonian epeeist Julia Beljajeva and Italian sabre fencer Stefano Scepi.
In Men’s sabre final duel Scepi defeated Frenchman Emmanuel Gans – 15:11. Bronze medals won sabre fencers from Germany – Maximilian Kindler and Florian Lehnert. Scepi brought second gold medal for Italy – at the first day of the tournament victory celebrated his compatriot Olga Calissi.
Fencers from France also pretended to win Women's epee Individual. But, as in Men’s sabre, they were a little bit unlucky. Destiny of the gold was decided in the last attack – and Lauren Rembi lost it to the Estonian Julia Beljajeva (14:15). The third place was occupied by Hungarian epeeists: Dorina Budai and Anna Kolczonay.
